KRITEX

Goal
The KRITEX project aims to enhance security for network operators and achieve maximum resilience against external attacks through a holistic approach that includes legal considerations. Increasing (cyber) resilience is intended to protect against the consequences of supply failures and associated cascading effects. The project also aims to assess the transferability of the KRITEX approach to other infrastructures. QGroup, in collaboration with the House of Energy (HoE) and the University of Kassel, developed guidelines for future energy networks.

Project Conclusio
As part of the funding initiative "Digitalization of the Energy Transition," QGroup, in collaboration with the University of Kassel, Chair of Public Law, IT Law & Environmental Law, Department 7 - Economics, Institute for Business Law (IWR), Prof. Gerrit Hornung, researched the legal requirements and security prerequisites for maintaining and creating sufficient resilience, segregation, and hardening of the system landscape (IT and IoT). The project aimed to bridge the gap between practical application and legal research and education. Through joint analysis and publications by the chair and its staff, a highly practical foundation was established, serving as a robust basis for further legal research.
